My Tyrolean World by Viktoria Fahringer | Cookbook
A culinary journey through Tyrol's mountains and valleys - Austria's youngest award-winning chef and hostess with heart
As the daughter of innkeepers at the traditional "Tiroler Hof" in Kufstein, Viktoria Fahringer grew up immersed in authentic Tyrolean cuisine. At just 20 years old, Viktoria took over her parents' business and earned her first toque from Gault & Millau at the age of 21.
Now, the top chef is traveling for a year through the breathtaking landscape of Tyrol, rediscovering her homeland. Inspired by conversations with local producers, Viktoria Fahringer combines traditional Tyrolean cuisine with sustainable nutritional approaches in this cookbook. The book features simple, regional recipes, as well as modern interpretations of classics and seasonal dishes such as mushroom slices instead of spleen slices or vegetarian Tyrolean Gröstl, allowing us to enjoy the extraordinary nature and traditions of Tyrol in every kitchen.
