Standard is too boring for us! That's why we put a lot of thought into the quality and production of our spice jars and are proud of the result we achieved after 14 months of work with our jar manufacturer.

100% honest
 Our spice jars are 100% produced in Austria and are made of 100% German tinplate. A real benchmark success in the spice sector. And because sustainability, design and practicality naturally have to fit together seamlessly, the jars are also perfectly stackable. This not only pleases every spice junkie because they can fit more spices on their shelf, but also Mother Earth. Our jars are light- and airtight thanks to a practical screw cap to protect against UV radiation and moisture.


For us, it is a matter of course to treat the environment responsibly. The combination of sustainability and regionality makes it possible.

The shaker insert for the 170ml screw-top jars can be easily clicked in with one hand – and can be easily replaced and inserted into another screw-top jar if required.

Perfectly Stackable

The practical shape of our S! containers means they are perfectly stackable, so you'll never run out of space in your kitchen. The optimally adjusted grooves on the bottom of each container guarantee a good hold.

The screw cap guarantees an airtight seal to preserve the great taste of the spices and protect them from moisture.

Hey 👋

The topic of refill packs sounds super sustainable at first glance – but unfortunately, in practice, it often isn't.

We at STAY SPICED! have consciously opted against refills and for our tinplate cans – and for good reason:

🌿 Product protection = less waste

Only in our airtight and lightproof containers do spices stay fresh and of high quality for a long time – so nothing has to be thrown away. In this way, we make a direct contribution to preventing food waste.

🚫 Why no viewing window?

We deliberately refrain from doing so, as a viewing window would require additional material and would no longer reliably protect the spice from light – the quality would suffer more quickly.

🚫 Why not use bags or plastic inserts?

Many spices contain essential oils and react with plastics. This could cause ingredients to migrate, barriers to weaken, and quality to decrease.

Furthermore, bags are not completely airtight , which is particularly problematic with hygroscopic spices (which attract moisture).

Furthermore, bags and plastic inserts are usually made of plastic or composite materials and are therefore difficult to recycle – a clear exclusion for us, as we consistently avoid plastic .

💪 100% tinplate – the sustainable solution

Our cans are manufactured regionally in Austria, are plastic-free, stackable and infinitely recyclable – without new material and with short transport routes.

🧂 Hygiene & Traceability

After months in the kitchen, refilling is not ideal for hygienic reasons. Furthermore, complete batch control would no longer be possible.

📦 Why we don't sell empty cans:

Our tins are part of our quality and hygiene concept. Each tin is filled and sealed under controlled conditions to ensure optimal protection of the spice.

Selling empty cans separately would break these standards – and could lead to them later being filled with foreign contents and still associated with STAY SPICED!

Furthermore, our tins come directly from the production of our spice line – they are therefore not a standalone commercial product, but are specifically designed for our filling plants, labels and batch identification.

Selling empty cans separately would also not be sensible from a sustainability perspective, as it would require additional logistics and packaging steps.

💡 Tip: Feel free to upcycle empty cans – for example, for decorations, tea lights, or dried herbs. Simply clean them with a dry cloth and air them out well.

We are constantly exploring new, plastic-free options – but currently, our tinplate can is the most sustainable solution that meets all requirements. 💛
