TASTE

Mugwort is a perennial whose tough, angular stems can grow 30 cm to over 2 m high, but die in winter. The 5 to 10 cm long leaves are dark green on top and have white hairs on the underside. The flowers are yellowish or reddish brown and are arranged in panicles. There is a European and an Asian variant of common mugwort, which differ slightly in the composition of the essential oil.
