SHORT DESCRIPTION

What do white pepper, black pepper and green pepper have in common? They are all harvested from the same plant at different times, but are then processed differently. To make white pepper, the almost ripe red pepper berries are harvested and put into sacks. The pepper berries are then watered and dried in the sack - now they can be easily peeled, as the softened pulp has separated from the seeds. These are laid out in the sun to dry again, and what remains is the well-known white pepper.

USE

The pepper is best used with light meat and light sauces.

White pepper is hotter than black pepper, but has less variety in flavor, so you should be careful when choosing the right amount of pepper. Visually, white pepper is also less noticeable in light dishes than its black counterpart.

TASTE
