What makes Harry Albel's stone pine spices special?
Our stone pine spices contain stone pine pomace from Harry Albel’s Austrian manufactory. It gives the blends their characteristic woody taste. Combined with fine fleur de sel, select pepper specialties, smoked salt, or caramel-like date sugar, they create versatile spice creations for savory and sweet dishes.
How do stone pine spices taste?
Swiss stone pine spices offer a woody, slightly tart, and resinous flavor. Depending on the blend, different facets emerge: Swiss stone pine pepper tastes spicy with a fine, tingling heat, Swiss stone pine smoked salt adds smoky accents, and Swiss stone pine sugar combines the flavor of the pine with a caramel sweetness.
What is the difference between stone pine salt and stone pine smoked salt?
Our Stone Pine Fleur de Sel combines fine sea salt from the Algarve coast with woody stone pine. It goes well with breakfast eggs, vegetables, meat, and fish. Stone Pine Smoked Salt adds a distinctive smoky note – ideal for marinades, sauces, and hearty dishes to which you want to add a smoky flavor, even without a grill.
Which dishes go well with stone pine pepper?
Harry Albel's Stone Pine Pepper pairs particularly well with cheese, meat, and fish. The blend combines Banasura pepper, Bengal long pepper, and Patagonia Canelo berry pepper with stone pine and fleur de sel. This creates a peppery seasoning, a light menthol note, and a finely tingling spiciness. Since it already contains salt, you should be sparing with any additional salt.
How do I use stone pine sugar in the kitchen?
Stone pine sugar refines desserts, porridge, muesli, fruit, and baked goods with a caramelly sweetness and a woody stone pine flavor. This blend of date sugar and stone pine pomace is also suitable for creative drinks and meat marinades. Our tip: try stone pine sugar in creamy rice pudding and discover the sweet side of alpine cuisine.
Are Harry Albel's stone pine spices vegan?
Yes, stone pine fleur de sel, stone pine pepper, stone pine smoked salt, and stone pine sugar are vegan. You can therefore use them for your favorite plant-based dishes – from savory vegetables to sweet creations. You can find the full ingredients on the respective product page.
