Care instructions for optimal use:
Before first use, the knife should be thoroughly washed with water and dish soap. The FK2 is a hand-forged knife made of carbon steel and is therefore not rustproof. With use, a patina will form, giving the blade a characteristic dark gray color. Don't worry, this discoloration is a sign of the knife's quality and natural aging process! The manufacturing process is only complete when the patina is fully developed.
After each use:
- Wash the knife with water and dish soap.
- Do not clean in the dishwasher.
- Store the knife in a dry place and regularly oil the handle to prevent the wood from shrinking. If the handle is a bit loose, a drop of oil will help optimize the fit.
