Mulled wine is typically made from red wine that is heated with various spices such as cinnamon, cloves, star anise and orange peel. The addition of sugar or honey gives the drink a pleasant sweetness. Our mulled wine spice consists of a great mixture of various spices - perfect for the cold season. Also delicious with Jagertee or hot apple wine.
Our tip: Heat 1 litre of red wine with sugar, honey or rock candy (as desired, approx. 50-100g) and 1 tablespoon of mulled wine spice, but do not boil. Strain and serve warm in a cup, garnished with a slice of lemon or orange. The mulled wine can also be refined with a dash of rum or amaretto. You can also add the spice to water and heat it. The broth can then be used for desserts and game dishes.
