Recipe: Puff pastry Stangerl

If you have to go fast or you just want to use the purchased leaf dough roll – with this jerk-twitch recipe for ingenious puff pastry sticks you will have your bright joy. In 20 minutes they are ready – and you can start naked!

The puff pastry sticks go so fast that you can hardly believe it. That's why heat the oven to 220°C right at the beginning.

Now the puff pastry is taken out of the refrigerator and rolled out. Then you cut thick strips from it, yes to your taste. These are coated with the whisked egg and seasoned the individual strips with a pinch of salt.

Of course, you can give free rein to your creativity here and, for example, our STAY SPICED ! Use Amore spice mixture or Pil Pil for seasoning to provide a certain taste kick. 

Now it's time to turn it in. First, "halve" the strips, i.e. fold them in half so that the spiced surfaces are on the outside. Twist once with two hands at the ends, place on a baking paper and bake for 14-16 minutes in the oven until golden brown.

TIP: Keep a close eye on the puff pastry sticks in the oven for the last two minutes, because here can quickly bake something too dark. And that would be a real pity, because they are so delicious ...!
