Himalayan salt flakes - pink

For the production of the pink crystal salt flakes, pink crystal salt from the Punjab Mountains is used. A salt brine is made from the crystal salt and fed into large evaporation basins. Now the interplay of sun and wind begins. Just like in a sea salt works, a fine layer of salt is formed on the surface of the basins on hot days. These are now carefully harvested by hand and dried in the sun. The result is the finest pink salt flakes, mildly salty and with a crispy consistency.
