The dried shallots are mixed into salad dressings, sauces, dips and spreads or sprinkled directly over dishes such as steaks, medallions or roast roasts. In general, the dried shallots are used everywhere in the kitchen where a mild, sweet onion taste is desired. If necessary, the dried shallots can also be crushed in a mortar and with a cleaver.
