The Italian Salsa Verde – translated: green sauce – is ideal for refining salads, pasta fish or meat. A spice mixture that proves that dried herbs have power and taste!

The same applies here as for so many classics of traditional Italian cuisine: there is no single recipe! The possible variations are as varied as our spice mixtures. Depending on taste, season and preferences, our Salsa Verde can be combined and used.

Similar to the production of pesto, the spice mixture is placed in a blender or mortar together with enough olive oil and a little water. In an airtight container, the Italian Salsa Verde can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Enjoy your salsa dip with your medium-cooked beef fillet, with short roasts of pork and lamb or with the classic antipasti and grilled vegetables.

Add 1 tbsp S! Mix Salsa Verde, 2 tbsp water (room temperature) and 5-6 tbsp olive oil and enjoy.

The classic variant from northern Italy is traditionally eaten with bollito misto, a hearty meat dish.
