Banasura Pepper – Kerala – whole - hand-sorted

Try the pepper delicacy from India, the Banasura pepper - Karala from STAY SPICED ! for a special taste experience.

use

The Indian, hand-picked Banasura pepper from Kreala is an absolute specialty for pepper gourmets and should therefore also be used to refine delicacies such as steaks, delicate ragouts or noble risotto and pasta variants. Optimal: First freshly ground from the mill or crushed in a mortar towards the end of the preparation add to the dish so as not to change the intensely aromatic taste of the Banasura pepper by too much heat.

Good to know

The extravagant pepper comes from the region around India's largest natural dam, the so-called Banasura Sagar Dam in the state of Kerala. The harvest quantity is no more than 2,000 kilograms, which makes pepper an absolute rarity and also a specialty. That's why it is also often used for specialties such as steaks, venison ragout, risotto or homemade pasta variations.

the taste

This pepper stands out from other peppers by its diverse flavors, which surpass the bouquet of other pepper specialties.

manufacturing

If the peppercorns of the Indian Bansura pepper seem particularly large, you are right: The hand-sorted large-grained Banasura pepper from the Indian state of Kerala (Indian Malabar Coast) surprises with its extraordinary fruits. This is no coincidence, because his peppercorns are naturally larger – and then only the largest peppercorns make it through the careful manual sorting of the pepper farmers.
